Dear Coring Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Bill every since he arrived in Southport. We laughed together, cried together, planned our lives together...and then grew up. When I arrived in Washington State in 1962 at McChord Air Force Base, the very first time I entered the Chow Hall, i heard a laugh and knew it was the only one like it in the entire world. I ran across the chow hall and seen Bill sitting at a table with some other fellows. We live two barracks apart even though he was in the Army and I was in the Air Force. He was a great friend. We both grew up in police work and both retired from law enforcement. Our plans seemed to come to completion as we planned. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. I too, will look for him and listen for his voice when I get to heaven.

There is NO words to tell you how very sorry we are. Our hearts go out to each and everyone of you. Bill was my daddy's best friend when I was growing up, so alot of my childhood memories include him. I had fun growing up with Billy and Pam and later had fun babysitting Tracy, Scott and Todd. May the Lord give you strength in the days to come. If there is anything we can do please call. You are in our prayers and we love you all,
Sissy and Nathaniel

I have already signed the guest book, but wanted to let everyone know that I scanned a photo of the Ryan-Walsh 1975 Champions (you can find it under "view the photo album." Mr. Bill is 2nd from the right, not the left like it says. My dad (Terry Stephens) has this picture hanging in his living room. You are in my prayers. Love you Mr. Bill.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Bill's passing. I haven't seen him in several years, but got a chance to see him when he was a patient at Brunswick Hospital (I work there). We talked about different things, he asked about my parents (Terry & Beverly Stephens) and then asked for coffee. I gladly went and got it for him. He will be greatly missed.
