William Oliphant Obituary
OLIPHANT, SR.
William Leroy "Buck" Oliphant, Sr. 81, of Rocky Point died Saturday March 6, 2010, at his home with his family at his side.
Buck was born in New Hanover County August 11, 1928, the son of the late James Franklin and Sarah Rebecca Stokley Oliphant, Sr. He was a Korean War Veteran.
Surviving are his children Alma Kay Hawks and husband Brian, Patricia Overman and husband Tim, Dorothy Squires and husband Mark, Sarah Gutheridge and husband Richard, James Oliphant and wife Nicole and William Oliphant, Jr., brother Thomas Oliphant, sisters Barbara Blake and Joyce Hicks, sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather at his Rocky Point home to see friends 12 Noon, Sunday, March 21, 2010. The family can be reached at (910) 602-6155.
