David Alteri Obituary
A Celebration of David's Life will take place at a later date, cremation rites have been accorded. Mueller Funeral Home in Peru is entrusted with arrangements.
David was born on June 3, 1965 in Peru to David L. and Dolores (Nelson) Alteri Sr. He graduated from La Salle-Peru Township High School class of 1983. He worked as a meat cutter for D&S Food in Marseilles for the last 14 years and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church all his life. David married Denise Williams on July 8, 1999 in Princeton.
Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was also passionate about music and played the drums.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Denise Alteri of Ottawa, two sons, David Alteri III of Ottawa and Joseph Alteri of Joliet, two step-children Ashley Watland of Ottawa and Phillip (Shandi) Watland of La Salle. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Xavior, Jayde, and Mila Watland. Surviving as well is his mother Dolores Alteri of La Salle, brother Donald Alteri of La Salle and sister Laurie (Ed) Novotney of Peru.
David was preceeded in death by his father and his brother Mike Alteri.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Dave was a very nice person to me when I worked for him at Econo foods in Peru I hung around with him and his brother Mike both were cool and nice people
