Kari Lynn Repsel

1968 - 2023

Kari Lynn Repsel, 54, of La Salle passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 4, 2023 unexpectedly after a long battle with cancer at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford where she also donated her organs.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with Kari's funeral arrangements.
Kari was born November 15, 1968 to Ronald and Kathleen (Rossiter) Bumgarner. She married the love of her life, Brian Repsel, on February 26, 1993. She worked in the kitchen at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley for many years.
Kari enjoyed spending time with her family, her dog Cooper, and granddog Milly. She enjoyed baking and walking.
Kari is survived by her husband Brian of La Salle; her children Stephanie Repsel of Peru and Zachary Repsel of La Salle; her sisters Kim (Mark) Kallner of Peru, KayLa (Gary) Yanko of Naplate, and Kathy Wallgren of Peru; her brothers Kevin (Hilary) Bumgarner of Portland, OR and Kurt Bumgarner of Peru. She was the "cool" aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
