Not sure what to say?

September 9, 2010

My uncle was in the nursing home back in 2000 with cancer and David was the hospice volunteer. We lived in Augusta and he had little family, so we were going back and forth and sometimes did not know what was going on with him. David would call us and let us know that he was okay. He spent many hours with him and led him to the Lord right before he died. At my uncle's funeral, David walked in and it was such a blessing to see him because he was the one that was connected to my uncle the most. I hugged him and told him how much we appreciated him and I never forgot him because he stood out for the Lord! I just happened to get online to see the Statesboro paer for another reason and found his obit. Your loved one was a special person with a big heart and I want you all to know that we are praying for your family.

Trish, I am sorry that I misread the funeral arrangements in my email. John and I went to Joiner Anderson and by the time we realized that the service was at the church, felt we wouldn't have time to get there. I am so sorry. I wish Troy was able to remember David so I could share it with him. You are strong and I know God will guide you from now on. Thinking of you,

Mrs. Trish & Family,

“What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.” May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Mrs. Trish and family,

It is hard to find words to say in a time like this. David was the most courageous person I had ever met.
It is truely a loss. Faith is one of those things you can't see, but I saw it in David. He was a remarkable person.
When I think of David, a song that I heard comes to mind. "WELCOME" welcome to Heaven my child,You have run the race, you have kept the Faith. Welcome to Heaven my child. You and your family will always be in my thoughts and Prayers.

May God comfort you in his loving arms.
GOD BLESS YOU.
