Alberta Ann Grohman Finger Alberta Ann Grohman Finger of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2005, in Austin, Texas. Alberta, known affectionately as "Bert", was born on November 15, 1928, in Rosanky, Texas, to John T. and Rose Mary Grohman. Bert was married in 1958 to Howard F. Finger, of Coupland, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers, Ellie Mae Otto and Felton Sophia Turner, an infant brother and brothers Ervin and Alton Grohman. She is survived by her husband, two nephews and two nieces, Charles R. Turner and wife Irelene of Georgetown, Texas, Gene Grohman and wife JoAnn of Smithville, Texas, Glenda Nunley of Austin, Texas, and Barbara Ann Dean and husband Gary of Beaumont, Texas. She is also survived by numerous great nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Bert worked at various occupations during her career at J.C.Penney in Taylor, Texas, and Sears, Capitol National Bank and Chase Bank in Austin, Texas. She loved to spend time with her nephews, nieces and other special friends fishing on Coupland Lake and enjoying a special cabin on Lake Travis. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband. Pallbearers will be; Greg Fowler, Gene Grohman, Gene Henze, Brent Nunley, David Tucker and Lowell Turner. The family received friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at Elgin Funeral Home, 712 North Avenue C, Elgin, Texas. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 10, 2005, in the chapel of Elgin Funeral Home, Elgin, Texas. Interment will follow at the Rosanky Cemetery, FM 535, Rosanky, Texas. Services under the direction of Elgin Funeral Home.
