Our beloved Alvaro Alvarez-Trejo, age 18, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 7, 2014.
He is survived by his father Alvaro Alvarez; mother Aida Alvarez; sister Monica Alvarez; sister Carmen Trejo; maternal grandparents Jose Reynaldo Trejo, Esperanza Trejo; paternal grandparents Rosa Angelica Orellana.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street (South).
Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery

De parte de nuestra familia, les mandamos nuestro más profundo pésame. Mis hijas atendieron Anderson con su hijo y me dio el placer de conocer a Álvaro el día de su Prom hace unos meses atrás. El y Carlos vinieron a recojer a mi hija y los dos se presentaron muy guapos en sus tuxedos. Su hijo tenía una sonrisa muy linda y me pasa por mi mente con un dolor profundo saber que perdieron a su hijo. Como madre, le suplicare a Dios que les traiga tranquilidad en este tiempo tan difícil. Dear family of Alvaro, we are so sorry and heartbroken. May the love for and wonderful memories shared with Alvaro help to always bring you peace. Alvaro knew and was kind to our daughter's Audrey and Claire, who both also graduated from Anderson. Audrey was in Alvaro's grade, and Claire knew Alvaro from a wonderful trip with the Straub family to Colorado. With much love, the Wilkes Family.

Both of my kids (Morgan and Cutter) loved Alvaro. They were classmates and personal friends in school. We are all heartbroken over his passing. We hope you find comfort in knowing how much so many care deeply for your precious son and brother as well as for his dear family. God bless you all.

My son, Trevor,is a friend of Alvaro's. They had a class at Anderson High School together. Trevor came home with great/funny stories about Alvaro. One story he told me was that he and Alvaro had decided to have a race during class. They told the teacher they had to go out and have this competition to see who could run faster. The teacher came out looking for them.Trevor can't speak of Alvaro without a smile.Trevor will miss him. We are so very sorry for your loss.We are praying for comfort.
