Anna Mae La France
Anna Mae LaFrance Hudson, 95, of Plano, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015. She was born in Austin, Texas, on November 4, 1919 to Walter and Charity LaFrance of Hornsby Bend.

Anna Mae was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She loved to travel and was an ardent fan of the New York Yankees. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee and participating in their lives.
Anna Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Leon Hudson; an infant son, Bobby Leon Hudson; and grandsons, John Payne and Bruce Hudson. She will be sadly missed by her son and his wife, Gene and Sue Ann Hudson of Junction City, Kansas; her daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie and Tony Varrichio of Plano, Texas; and her daughter, Barbara Ann Hudson of Johnson City, Texas; her long-time friend, Charles Bojack of New Jersey; grandsons, Casey, Leon and Robert Hudson, and Jonathan and Craig Varrichio; granddaughters, Romy Lozano, Shannon Grove, Cinder Jackson, and Gina Varrichio; 17 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Jones, Dorothy Eckert, and Ethel Moreland; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Romero officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Her family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Day Spring for the love and affection given to Anna and to Faith Presbyterian Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Anna Mae's memory to Faith Presbyterian Hospice, 4350 Sigma Rd. #400, Dallas, TX 75244.

Sherry and Barbara, so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I have so many fond memories of her when we were neighbors. She certainly helped raise me! I remember her being a good cook and seamstress. Some of my first (and very happy) memories are of staying at "Mimi" and "Papa" Hudson's house. She was a beloved friend and neighbor of my family for many years and was such a wonderful lady. My heartfelt sympathy goes to her family. She will be missed.
