Barry Boes Obituary

Barry Boes, 54, of Austin, Texas, died on August 18, 2025, in an aviation accident.
Born and raised in Lauderdale, Miss., Barry's extraordinary talents were evident early in life. A gifted student with a boundless curiosity, he began college coursework at the age of 12. By 16, he became the youngest graduate in Mississippi State University's 100-year history.
He held key engineering leadership roles with Advanced Microelectronics and Cypress Semiconductor. In 2005, Barry founded Accio Data, a background-screening technology company.
A competitive athlete, he devoted himself to sports from cable wakeboarding to snow skiing but found his greatest joy in motorsports.
Barry is preceded in death by his father, Barry Boes, and his sister, Brook Bolen. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Boes, brothers Bret and Ben, and three children, Sarah, Caleb and Cynthia.
