Lost touch with Mr Bradshaw years ago. My only memories of him and his family were some of the best times I had as a kid. I am sorry to have only just learned of his passing. He was a good man and I wish his family all the best.

Bobby was one of a kind and a kind one to boot. I fondly remember him as a youngster taking tickets at the Palacios movie theater. When he gained success as a fine singer and musician, the kind smile and gentle nature was never lost. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Hello Donna:
One of my last memories of Bobby was at one of the Palacios Class Reunions (probably the class of 1958's) which was held at the Serendipity RV meeting room, and Bobby got up and sang a "set" with the DJ's music. What a voice!! You and Bobby (who was not in our class, but always tried to make our reunions) were always great friends with all the classmates. I look back on our school years and think of all the times we spent together "making memories" that will last a lifetime.

You mentioned in your e-mail about not remembering what you did at the funeral. When my husband was killed in an automobile accident, It was like GOD just wrapped me in cotton for six weeks, then the next six weeks I was mad at the world, the third six weeks, I cried and cried over my loss. I guess you just work yourself through your grief whichever way you can. I am so grateful for all my friends and schoolmates that gathered close around me.

Bobby had a huge impact on all our lives. He was a great man to have known.

Love and Best Wishes,

Laura Holley

Bobby was one of my most favorite people to have ever met. You could count on his hugs, his ability to make you laugh, and his kind words. We all loved to sit and listen to him play and sing. I'll bet even now, if we listen real close we can hear him singing to us from above. I am so honored to have known him and I will miss him until the day I see him again.

Rob, I know you know this, but you were blessed to have such a good man as your Dad.

I love you Donna and I promise to come see you when I am in town.

My deepest sympathy and love to all of the Bradshaw family.
"Little Dee" as Bobby called me

Donna,
You know how everyone at the City of Burnet felt about Bobby. We loved him so much. I asked him one time how he and you met and he said that you just started talking one day and shared similar interests and seemed to "hit it off" instantly. You need to know he cherished you. I know you have been "brave" for Bobby and everyone else, but when you want to just "let it all out", it's ok. Call me if you want to have lunch when all is settled. We love you.

Thanks to Bobby for being a great bandleader and my first "Boss" when I moved back to Houston after the USAF stint in the early 70's. We worked together at the Dome Shadows for at least a year.

I remember an honorable, friendly and talented gentleman.

Dear Donna and family. I can't tell you with words how much I loved Bobby, and you for standing strong through the hard times, making his life so special in his last few years and before. He found true love & peace with you and I will always be grateful to you for that. Working with him all those years was a blessing for me and knowing that my love & respect for him was mutual from him was very special to me. I know that he is at peace with our Lord now, and is smiling down on all of us now.

Donna,

I only know you through genealogy and the Lake Victor Homecoming. I have been so inspired by your constantly cheerful spirit, during the past few years as Bobby fought the good fight.

I know you truly stood by your man, in sickness and in health. I hope you have so many wonderful memories and they bring you comfort and joy in the years to come. Many people love and care for you and that is certainly a testament to your marriage and to you.

I can't possibly know how you must feel now, but I do know God is good and he can never lie. The promises he gives us, prepare us for a joyful reunion with those that have gone before us. What a glorious reunion that will be!

Love,

Laura Pharr

Bobby was a very kind man. Family and friends meant so much to him. We loved him as did so many other people. Donna took such good care of him. We all know she did not do this for praise, but for love and respect for Bobby. She was his willpower to stay on this earth for as long as possible. We will miss you Bobby.

My Nannie is probably the strongest woman that I know. Through everything with Bobby she was by his side, whatever he needed, she was there. I remember the day that they got married, even the clothes that I was wearing, all the laughter and music, it was a great time. I was so happy for the both of them.

Bobby and Nannie did so much for me when I was growing up, I had some hard times, and they took me in without even thinking about it. Bobby would take me to school in the mornings if I needed a ride, and if there was anything that I needed, they were there for me. It was funny because when I would agree with Bobby on something, my Nannie would say its because we are both a "Sag", both born on December 11, and we would just laugh, we would gang up on her!

Threw it all Bobby continued to fight and NEVER gave up, but now he is a better place where no sickness is around him, and I know that he will watch over each and everyone and keep us safe, he is now our guardian angel. I will miss him very much.

I want to tell my Nannie that I LOVE HER SO MUCH, and I hope that one day I can be as strong as she is, and I know that this a hard time but I am here for you.
