Brian Rauhut Obituary

Brian Lynn Rauhut
March 14, 1961 - August 7, 2025
Our wonderful Brian Lynn Rauhut left us to be with his dad, Dr. J. Brent Rauhut, and brother, J. Keith Rauhut, on August 7, 2025 at the age of 64.
Brian was born on March 14, 1961 at Fort Sam Houston Hospital in San Antonio to Brent and Peggy Rauhut. At an early age, the family moved to California and then back to Texas. Afterwards, Brian and his family moved to his favorite place, Honolulu. Brian started school at Hawaii Kai. The family moved back to Texas three years later. In Austin, Brian met his great life friends at Hill Elementary. He went to Anderson High and graduated from Westlake High. Brian attended Texas State University in San Marcos.
Brian was the epitome of a true Austinite: enjoying art, frequenting live music, and befriending strangers. On any given night, you could find him exploring downtown and making new friends on his recumbent bike. He dreamed of living in Hawaii again someday.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy, and brother, John (Kerry). He was a caring and fun uncle to James York (Julia), Kurtis (Christi), and Peter (Carrie); and continued to be a "great" great-uncle to Bryce, Greyson, and River. Brian was surrounded by a wonderful family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A service to remember Brian is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 24 at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home (5416 Parkcrest Dr, Austin, TX 78731).
If desired, donations in Brian's memory can be made towards the American Cancer Society.
