Charles WOLFE Obituary
84 years old, passed away on 3/21/2015. He was born in Endicott, New York to Erston and Lula Wolfe. He grew up in Owego, New York.
He graduated from Owego Free Academy in 1947. He went to Broome Tech and Michigan State where he graduated in Engineering. Charles taught at Broome Tech for 2 years and worked at IBM for 37 years. He also worked at Motorola and AMD.
He was a Lieutenant in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was later in the reserves and retired as Captain.
Charles is survived by his wife of 60 years Patricia Wolfe, daughter Debra Luffman and husband Wade, a son Charles D. Wolfe Jr. and wife Jan, brother James, sister Barbara Tiffany and husband James, Grandchildren Allyson Fernandez and husband J.R., Jared Luffman and his wife Jennifer, Chad Wolfe, Sean Wolfe, four Great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, April 24, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Inurnment to follow at Columbarium. There will be a reception following the services.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in remembrance of Charles D. Wolfe to Wounded Warriors and the Austin Humane Society.
