My parents lived on the next block for 45 years, and always prized having such wonderful neighbors. May the entire family be consoled in this time of grief, and may her memory continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.

I remember Cherrie, but we called her "Mrs. C." back in her days as PHPC's children's choir director. I learned so much from her, and will always remember the time she paid a special visit to me when my father died.

We know what a wonderful woman Cherrie was through her beautiful daughter Martha. Though we were only in the Carapetyan home once, we have seen the loving power of a great mother in the light that Martha shines wherever she goes. What better legacy could a parent have! Our deepest condolences to all of Cherrie's family.

Cherrie was one of the loveliest, warmest, and most self-reliant,
accomplished, understated people I have ever known. What a
privilege to have known and loved her, and shared such special times through music and sheer friendship....one of God's greatest gifts.

Martha, as you know, I have known almost all of the Carapetyan family and enjoyed the hospitality as a guest in the homes of Ara and Cherrie, David, and you in Austin. This family is dear to me. I Join with you in your sorrow at the loss of Cherrie and in thanksgiving for the rich blessing which her life was to you and so many others of us. May all of you continue to reflect and spread the love and grace that shone from Cherrie in her life.

Ara, I saw this familiar face in the paper this morning and wanted to express my condolences. I have just moved to Austin, what a small world. I always remember our musical collaboration with gratitude.
