CJ "Si" was the Assistant Director of the Textbook Division - Texas Education Agency when I first started in that division back in 1979. We connected due to being born and raised in the same County, Fayette, him in Schulenburg and myself, Flatonia/Cistern area. He was an awesome person, kind and supportive. I have often thought of him throughout the years. I just wish I would have known about his passing. I would have definitely attended his services. Thanks to his Family for sharing him as I started my career at T.E.A. where I am still employed and currently in my 30th year.
