Clifford Chambers
Austin - Chambers, Clifford, Age 97, of Austin, Texas died Thursday, April 8, 2021. Clifford was born September 9, 1923 in Elgin, TX to the late Garfield and Marie (Reese) Chambers. Clifford was a World War II veteran, who served in the U.S. Navy. Clifford was multi-vocational man; working as an Electrician for the Austin Independent School District, an exterminator at Orkin Pest Control and retired after 26 years of service as a Supply Clerk with the Texas Department of Banking in Austin, TX. As a man who loved to keep busy, post retirement, Clifford also worked for 10 years at Best Printing Services in Austin, TX. Fishing, gardening, barbequing and family added extra joy to Clifford's life. Clifford was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Austin, TX. Clifford was married to the late Rosie L. Fennell Chambers and to this union two children were born: Clifford Dwight Chambers and Georgia Nell Chambers. Visitation Friday, Apr.16, King-Tears Mortuary, 4-7 pm; service Saturday, 11 am King-Tears; Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
