Happy 100th Birthday, Opa! I'm glad you get to spend it with your Schatze, although we sure do miss her here. I had a dream about you, and I got to give you a great big hug. I can't wait to do that again. Ich liebe dich!

10 Years and you are still in my thoughts just as vivid as always, guiding me daily through this complicated world. Simplifying things for me as you always did........faith in God is the key. Thank you Daddy for all the blessings and gifts you gave me. I'm doing my best to pass them forward and keep them going. I love you!
Always a wise-guy

Sure do miss you Opa. I can't believe it's been ten years. You made such an impact on my life that I still feel you with me, especially during Mass when Heaven and Earth are joined together as one.
As my girls get older, I keep worrying about the boys who might break their hearts, and I'm reminded of the time that you and I went for a walk down Susquehanna Lane and you comforted me as I was "nursing a broken heart." I'll never forget your gentle, loving ways. I hope I can emulate them. Love you.

Opa,
I know it has been a year for us on earth since your passing. Only a day I'm sure for you. It is with a warm heart that you are at peace and comforted by the Lord. As I take moments to reflect about my life with your daughter and my in-laws I know I have been blessed by your gift. You are always in our thoughts and heart.
Love,
Rick

Dear Daddy,
Thank you for all the love you taught me and experiences you shared with me while you were here. When I was a little girl, I remember loving to watch you shave and build things. I also remember you teaching me how to tie a neck tie just because I used to watch you tie yours and thought it was an art and took skill. Thank goodness you taught me because these boys of mine sure don't know how to tie one. Thank you for teaching me to work hard for the things I wanted and not just handing them to me. It has made me a better, more responsible person for it. I didn't like it at the time I was a teenager because I thought I deserved it, but your're right, some day I would thank you for it....and I do...today and always.
I know you're happy where you are right now but I sure do miss you. I see you a lot in my dreams which makes me very happy, but there's no substitute for feeling the warmth of your hugs and kisses. That will be the first thing I want when I see you again. Have a wonderful time with all your family and friends and Jesus before we all come up there with you, because you know what happens then!
Your loving #1 daughter,
Eileen

David will be missed but not forgotten. Even though my time with the Kelly family was brief and many years ago, David’s legacy lives on. While raising my kids if one of them would ask “who was on the phone?” I would answer “Joe Bobaloto” and think of David. One of them would say something about a boat and I would respond “I can row a boat, Canoe” , and think of David. If we passed a truck loaded with straw, I would yell out “hay”, and think of David. When my kid are now using those phases, I know that if David’s influence was that strong on people he never met, his positive influence will last for generations for those he did.
David, May you rest in peace and God bless you and your family.

To my Opa,
Dear Opa, the memories I have of you are all wonderful, can't recall one without the other. What I loved about you, and always will, was the way you stayed strong and faitheful to The Lord, through any situation. I'll never forget you or anything you shared with me. I know I have a long way to go to becoming the man that you were, but I won't stop working towards that, so that maybe one day when its my turn, I'll have the loving support you did. Until we meet again. I love you and always will.
Andrew Williams.

My Daddy, an amazing, mighty, humble, and especially GOOD LOOKIN' man of God. He lived his life on earth for God, and his life was a bright shining light for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and all who knew him. He truly showed us Jesus, in the way he loved others, handled stress, and completely trusted in God for everything. Daddy loved God, loved his wife and family, and loved to enjoy all his blessings. He is greatly missed by all who knew him and enjoyed his fun loving sense of humor. love you Daddy!

I have so many fond memories of Opa, especially watching Jeopardy. One memory I will never forget is the last time that Opa saw me. I carried my 1-year-old daughter Robin over to Opa’s bed in the living room. Omi was sitting next to him, and Opa was sucking on one of his ‘lollipops,' with his eyes mostly closed. I walked over, touched his arm and said, “Opa, it’s Toni. We’re going to leave now, I will see you on Saturday.” I was pretty sure he heard me, but he didn’t really move much except bobbing his head a little. Omi said real loud, “Hertze, Toni is leaving.” He nodded his head very certainly as if to say, ‘I know, she just said that!’ I told him goodbye again. He opened his eyes and handed Omi his lollipop, and I said, “Oh! I get a kiss?” So I kissed him, and then told Robin to say bye bye. She waved at him, saying “bah bah… bah bah.” I leaned her over the bed and she got a kiss too. I stood up and looked at him, and he looked back at me, with his bright blue eyes wide open, and a huge smile on his face. I took a few steps back and figured he would close his eyes again and go back to his lollipop. When I looked back at him, he just kept watching me walk further and further away, with big blue eyes and a huge smile. I can't wait to see those eyes and that smile again. Love you, Opa.

Although I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Kelly in person, I feel as though I know him through his granddaughter, Toni. I've heard so many wonderful stories and Opa-isms that I know he not only lived a blessed life, it's clear that his life blessed all those he touched. I'm thankful that Toni has shared so many stories of the Kelly family with me during the past few months and sincerely hope that I get to experience much more of this amazing family in action. What an awesome legacy Mr. Kelly leaves behind.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
