Dodd Allen Meredith

Dodd Allen Meredith of Georgetown, Texas, 74, passed away August 24, 2022, surrounded by family.

Dodd is survived by his daughters, his oldest Hailey Pfingsten and her husband Jeremy; his youngest daughter, Casey Anderson: and his grandchildren, Caroline and Katherine (Kate) Anderson, as well as his brother, Jeb Meredith of Austin, TX. Dodd is preceded in death by his supportive and loving wife of 48 years, Judy Meredith; as well as both of his parents, Lee and Ruth Meredith of Conroe, Texas.

Dodd was born in Owensboro, KY to parents Lee C. Meredith and Ruth Breitkreutz Meredith in 1947. He graduated from Conroe High School and then went on to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX before serving in the Vietnam War where he was in stationed Thailand and then in Altus, Oklahoma where he once again enjoyed playing music.

Dodd Meredith was a consummate musician, just as his father, and performed as a singer and drummer for nearly all of his life. Music was his passion and true calling. He was introduced to music by his father and continued with music in his soul from an early age. He was a drummer with many bands over the years and performed internationally as well.

Everyone who knew Dodd felt his big heart and his larger-than-life personality. He was always the jokester, and his abundant stories of the music industry were always a hit. He will be missed by everyone who had the distinction to know him.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Brass Tap, 204 E Main St, Round Rock, TX on Sunday, Sept 25th from 3 to 7 p.m. Join his family and friends to honor with music and laughter, time for sharing stories of Dodd, and celebrating his life. "What it was, what it is, and what it can be"
