When we were young kids, and we lived on Porter Street, Haywood and I played together and had lots of fun. He lived right across the street from me and at times we terrorized the neighborhood. We skated up and down the sidewalk and street like we owned it. His dad was the fire chief and we would go up there and sit on the trucks and play around the court house. We did what little boys do and we sometimes got in trouble and paid for it. His passing is a hard pill to swallow and I will cherish those childhood memories. My heart goes out to his family and close friends. May God grant you peace.
