Helen Grisham Obituary

(12/06/2002)Helen Grisham went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2002. She was born to Russell and Mary Benton in Austin County on February 9, 1924. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She attended Abeline Christian College where she met and married Noel Grisham on August 28, 1943. They resided in Abeline, Los Angeles, Odell, Hutto and Round Rock during their 56 years of marriage. They were members of the Round Rock Church of Christ. Helen lived in Round Rock for the past 45 years and was able to remain in her home due to the wonderful care of her caregivers; Adam and Cindy Cruz. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Noel on June 9, 1999, and her daughter, Jane McGary on December 3, 1980. She is survived by two daughters, Joan Davis and her husband, Joe Davis, of Round Rock and Jean Aiken and her husband, Carl Aiken of San Marcos. Grandchildren are Dennis Natho Ellington, John David Aiken and Amy Aiken. Great grandsons are Ryan Ellington and Chris Ellington. She is survived by a brother, Orville Benton and his wife, Myrle of Sealy; and a sister, Ethylene Keel of Palacios. Graveside services were held Friday, December 6 at the State Cemetery in Austin. Pall bearers were John David Aiken, Dennis Ellington, Ryan Ellington, Chris Ellington; Chris B. Davis and Adam Cruz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Round Rock Church of Christ, 1200 N. Georgetown St., Round Rock, TX 78664 or to a church or charity of your choice. Arrangements under the direction of Beck Funeral Home, Round Rock/ Austin, 244-3772.
