Jan: Todd and I were in California when Todd got word of Weldon's death. We wished we could have been at the services, but please know we talked about the respect we had for Weldon as a husband, father, and DPS professional. What a wonderful legacy he leaves for us to remember and honor. The two of you remind us of the values to which we all should aspire. We pray for comfort and that memories will sustain you and your family. With love,

Dear Jan and Family,
Paul and I were so sorry to hear of Weldon's passing. We both were out of town at the time or we would have been at the services. Weldon was a favorite of ours. He has been missed since he left Horseshoe Bay and will truly be missed in the future. I hope "Rudy" is sitting at his feet right now. We are thinking of you and your family at this difficult time of adjustment. May God give you comfort in your wonderful memories of a truly good person.
In His Love,

Momma Jan and family,
Words cannot express how deeply sorry we are for your loss. It was a privilege and an honor to have known Mr. Weldon and to call him our friend. We are so thankful that God had "our paths" cross many years ago at the tree farm in Bellville. Mr. Weldon was a great role model and a good influence for our young sons. There should be more like him in the world today!!! His actions as a good friend, hard worker, loving husband and dad spoke louder than words!!! His big hugs were the best ever!!!!
We will miss him dearly and going to the tree farm will never be the same without him driving the tractor and joking with us all.
We will continue to pray for you and your family.... May God Bless you all..... We love you, Eddie, Debby, Mitchell and Brett Andreas (Bellville, Tx)

I have been fortunate to know Weldon for many years. We graduated in the last HP school at Camp Mabry in 1954. We were both assigned to Harlingen and later worked as partners for allmost a year. Years later we were both assigned to Corpus and were neighbors. I can truthfully say I have never met a better man or had a better friend. Jan, God bless you and your family and Kathy and I will always remember the great times we had together. Gods Blessings, Don and Kathy Stevens

Weldon was a fine gentleman and we will miss seeing him sit in front of us at church, but now he's in a beautiful mansion made just for him with his Lord. And if he couldn't sing before, he most assuredly can now!
We will see you again one day Weldon.
