Arthur Green Obituary
Arthur L. Green, 63, formerly of Collegeville and Jim Thorpe, passed away at his Spring Mount residence on Tuesday, Dec. 6. He was the partner of seven years to Cheryl (Reed) McCauley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Green.
Born on Aug. 6, 1953, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Arthur G. and Frances C. (Ahner) Green.
He was employed for 15 years by Delaware Valley Paving.
Green attended Arise Community Outreach of Harleysville and was a volunteer with the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry. He enjoyed boating on Lake Wallenpaupack and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his partner are two brothers, Michael Green of Jim Thorpe and Gerald Green of Nesquehoning; three sisters: Hennetta Roth and Carol Beers and Lanora Schaeffer, all of Jim Thorpe; 10 nieces, eight nephews, three stepgranddaughters and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Green.
Service: Memorial service 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.), where friends may call from 6-6:45 p.m. Another memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, Ebenezer E.C. Church, 441 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, where friends may call from 6-6:45 p.m. Contributions in his name may be made to the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry, P.O. Box 13, Schwenksville, PA 19473.
