James Hoe Obituary

James William "Jim" Hoe, age 89, Austin, TX, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 12, 1936 in Middlesboro, KY, the son of the late Helen and William Hoe. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Hoe Park.
Jim graduated from University of Kentucky and University of Florida with Master of Science degree in Engineering and was a member of the Golf Team. His work career included engineering, irrigation, and crude oil production for over 50 years.
Jim was an active member of Austin Baptist Church and served the Lord faithfully throughout his life. He greatly enjoyed traveling and participated in several archeological digs as a hobby.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie Hoe Foster; nephews, Jon Park, Tim Park, Tom Park and David Park; cousins Bo Hoe and Rebecca Hoe; and many special neighbors, family and friends.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 29, 2025, at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY. Pallbearers will be employees of J. R. Hoe and Sons.
