I was on the beach in South Padre and saw this guy playing guitar on a balcony, I swore it was Jimmy. I was so convinced; I had the guy almost believing he was Jimmy. Anyway, that encounter led me to get on the web and look for him... this news hurts. Those commenting before me knew the Jimmy I knew... big heart, the epitome of caring is sharing, above and beyond. He and I worked together for a time, and when we left that job, we lost touch. While I have more memories of him, this is my favorite. You may think it's dark and it is, but Jimmy did what he needed to do that night or morning, `cause I needed it. I had lost both of my parents within a year of each other, marriage sliding, recently fired, and feeling worthless. Finding myself mentally, emotionally and financially tapped out, I had nothing to offer... so I thought. Phone rings in the early hours of an average weekday morning, Jimmy's on the other side. The call was no more than 2-3 minutes, and was him reminiscing about losing his dad, and not being where he wanted to be in life. But, he wasn't there long because he found the silver lining... my life. Looking at his current situation in comparison to what I was going through, he realized and voiced something like this, "... I thought of you and realized I don't have it that bad. I wanted you to know that you made me feel better." I sat in a brief silence, cartoon like blink of my eyes, processing his comment and thinking of how to respond. I told him I was happy he called and that I was the one to make him feel better... it was sincere. I asked what else was going on... to which he responded that it was late, and he needed to get to bed. I´m smiling as I sign off.

"I wish you would have reach out to me and me to you. I will always remember your smile that would light up your face and mine. A sweet soul has joined his loving wife, mother, and father. All who know you, will miss you."Judy Lara (Houston

From all of his friends and co-workers at Conns Appliances. Jimmy was the most selfless, giving person we will ever know. He made all of our jobs so much easier.
