Jamie Davis Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

Jamie Lee Davis Jamie Lee Davis was born on April 4, 1969, and passed away on August 6, 2005. Jamie is survived by his wife, Marcie; two children, Conner and Claire; mother, Karen Murphy; dad, Joe Murphy; sister, Jenny Murphy; mother-in-law, Diana Wise; brothers- in-law, Brad and Greg Wise and many friends who loved him. He was preceded in death by his father- in-law, Don Wise on July 8, 2005. Jamie graduated from Southwest Texas and had worked with the MoneyBox for the past seven years. He loved his family above all and enjoyed every day riding his bicycle on Austin's hike and bike trails, attending UT football games and Round Rock Express Baseball games, riding his new motorcycle, scuba diving with his dad, wakeboarding with his friends, swimming with his children, and most importantly spending time with his family around the dinner table. His selfless ways kept him busy always taking care of the people around him whom he loved. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 10th, 2005, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Cave Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Davis Children Memorial Fund at First Texas Bank, Round Rock, contact and president, John Sloan. These entries in this guestbook are a wonderful testiment of what a beautiful person Jamie was, and I'm sorry I didn't get to spend more time with him. My heart is with you all. God Bless. Your cousin, Anna

Words fall short when trying to convey ones feelings at a time like this. Scuba experiences with Jamie and Dr. Joe are some of my best memories. Jamie’s care for others and his terrific sense of humor enhanced many peoples diving vacations. GOD please comfort the minds, hearts and spirits of Jamie’s family. I know I share with so many how much we will miss our friend of the deep blue seas.

We share your grief. Jamie had such a positive, fun spirit. He was a fabulous husband, an involved father, a caring friend. In fact Isabel said, "Claire's daddy is my best friend. He took me fishing. Did he go to Heaven in a chariot with horses?"

Jamie was one of the kindest, warm hearted men I've known. He was a good listener and genuinely cared for others. He set an example for us in terms of honesty, respect and integrity. Jamie will be missed by many. He was a special gift. We should be honored to be witness to his life and be grateful to have had him touch ours.

When my neice, Marcie, married Jamie

it was one of the smartest things

she ever did. He was such a wonderful addition to the family,

and will certainly be missed. I told

him often that he was "a keeper."

He wasn't just Marcie's husband, he

was my nephew, and like I'm sure

many did, I took his sweetness and

desire to help with anything for

granted. It is a great loss for all

of us.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of Jamie. I worked with Jamie at The Money Box for 7 years and found him to be the most caring person and one with a heart of gold. He always went out of his way to help out. Jamie, you will be missed terribly. God speed your precious soul to heaven.
