Jed was my resident hall floor councilor and a year ahead of at oSu. Jed provided all of us a sanctuary to concentrate. You see by his actions, and respect for Jed, no one made halway noise on Jed's floor, but everyone could drop in on Jed for a 10 minute break.

As a EE major Jed was a role model and inspiration. I was not initially assigned to Jed's floor but I remember my study skills jumped after moving there. Our's was known as the "serious upper classmen's" enclave. North end of the 4th floor. Murray Hall.

I can visualize coming home at the end of a long day. Walking the stairs, then smelling Jed's pipe smoke. His door was almost always open so I could not help but look in as I passed. Head down at his desk working "through the math". It was like a switch in my brain, no matter how tired, Time for me to get serious and get to my desk.

While our trails diverged, I still live in your old house at 1414 S. Meadows.

I lament not having found a way to hook up and catch-up at the end of our careers. You were always a private, please know you were never forgotten.

I guess all I wanted to say is thank you , to the guy from North Texas, just down the road from my Grandparents and family in Borger.

I am so sorry to hear of Jed's passing. We both worked as programmer's at TRS although I left before him. I never thought of him as serious. Always had a twinkle in his eye and a gentle joke that caught you off guard a bit. Truly a nice guy.

I am saddened at the loss of a good man taken too soon. I worked with Jed quite often at TRS and I always appreciated his straightforward demeanor, his wry sense of humor and his help throughout the years. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
