Jennifer "Jenny" King Cavanaugh, a beacon of generosity and optimism, passed away on February 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Born on March 30, 1980, in Austin, Texas, Jenny's spirited nature and warm heart left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She departed from this life in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Jenny grew up in the vibrant city of Austin, where she attended Bowie High School before furthering her education at the University of Phoenix, studying Business and Psychology. Her academic pursuits laid the foundation for a successful career as an entrepreneur. Jenny was the proud owner of a cleaning business that serviced Bastrop, Elgin, and Austin. Through her work, she forged lasting friendships and was renowned for her dedication and work ethic.
She married the love of her life, Nick Cavanaugh of Bastrop, Texas, and together they built a life filled with joy and laughter. Jenny was a devoted mother to her sons, Casey Coffman of Austin, Texas, and Harley Coffman of Portland, Oregon. She cherished every moment with them, from quiet evenings at home to adventurous outings in nature.
Jenny's sister, Wanda Flores of Katy, Texas, will miss her dearly, as will her parents, Joyce and Lee Roy King of Buchanan Dam, Texas. She also leaves behind her beloved niece, Emily Blank of Houston, Texas. Jenny was a treasured member of the Cavanaugh family, including her mother-in-law, Barbara Cavanaugh of Austin, Texas, and her father-in-law, Ken Cavanaugh of Niantic, Connecticut. Her memory will also be cherished by numerous friends and relatives who were touched by her kindness and vivacious spirit. She was preceded in death by her niece, Samantha Blank, and her grandparents, Fay and Ernie Carlson, and Clifford and James King.
Jenny's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She was an avid camper, with Camp Ben McCullough being one of her favorite retreats. She found solace in the tranquility of fishing and the joy of beach and lake outings. Jenny's love for animals was evident in her care for her goats and chickens, which she raised with the same love and attention she gave to her family. Her zest for life was contagious, and she embraced every opportunity to be involved in activities with her children, ensuring that their lives were full of discovery and happiness.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Jenny will remember her as a woman of great heart. She was the embodiment of generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. Her optimistic outlook on life was a source of strength for many, and her spirited demeanor could lift the spirits of a room with just her presence.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX 78745.
