John Garza
March 3, 2008
As a high school student in Round Rock, I'd come by the house to visit Jimmy. Inevitably "Mr. Combs" would be tinkering with something in the garage- I specifically recall some contraptions he created to pick up pecans, and another for soda cans.
I always enjoyed talking with him, even if we just talked about the weather, he had the insight of a great philosopher. Whatever 'drama' I was experiencing, after a talk with John Combs I felt calm, he could always put things in perspecitve.
I will treasure those moments with John Combs, and remember his mischievous smile.
The Garza family wishes to express their deepest condolences for the loss of this great person, John Combs.
