John Sanford "Sandy" Lockett

(02/18/2003) John Sanford Lockett ``Sandy'' John Sandford Lockett, known as Sandy, died Feburary 10, 2003, of complications of cancer. He was 61 years old. Sandy was born on September 16, 1941, in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Susan Lockett of Kerrville; his brother, Joe Lockett of Arlington, VA; his sister, Demi Prentiss of San Antonio, Texas; and his daughter, Rosa Lockett of Austin, TX. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. The family would like to extend its thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Christopher House Hospice for the excellent care Sandy received during his last days. There will be a memorial service held Feburary 22, 2003, at 479 N. Main Street in Fentress, Texas beginning at 4:00 p.m. Covered dish supper to follow.
