Joshua Jay Crim

Joshua Jay Crim May 5, 1972 - January 26, 2006 A native of Austin, Josh had more recently been residing on South Padre Island. This relocation allowed him to pursue his two greatest passions, hunting and fishing. Josh also frequented the local hot spot where he became a self-proclaimed "King of Karaoke". He knew how to have a good time and with a smile that lit-up any room and an unmatched dry wit; those around him couldn't help but join in on the fun. But Josh was so much more than just an entertaining friend. He was a fiercely loyal son, a dependable, caring brother, a fun, teasing uncle and most importantly a loving, devoted father. For those of us who were lucky enough to have known Josh, the light and laughter that now goes missing from our lives' floods the streets and halls of Heaven. How happy the angels must be to have Joshua back. He is survived by his parents, Mary Daye and husband Tom of South Padre Island, Texas; sister. Shannon Cortez and husband Greg of Oceanside, California; brother, Matt Crim and wife Tina of Tuscon, Arizona; sons, Jay Thomas Crim and Bryan Crim both of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, Blake Andrew Cortez of Oceanside, California; one niece on the way; and his true love, Nicole Ybarra of Manchaca, Texas. The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Chaplain Charles Barber officiating.
