Thinking of you Juan. My heart still aches from losing you without really saying goodbye. I thank god and am greatful for the time I did have with you. When I visited you in Washington it was cold, wet, and rainy but, somehow I didn't realize it until you mentioned it. When I was with you, it was like holding the sun. You were such a warm hearted, funny, and crazy person. Your voice, and smile just lit up my soul and made me so happy when at such a time I was struggling to be happy. Together I could fly again because you had as free of a spirit as I did. Without you, once again I am lost. Everyday I must remind myself of the person I was with you because that person is who I want to be. Thank you Juan for showing me the hope, love and flame inside of me when I was living in dark times. Now that I have a son, I hope that I can raise him into a brave, loving, kind, funny, and sincere man like you. I love you still and always will Juan. You were "Juan In a Million." :)

Praying that your soul may rest in everlasting peace, with our Loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our God blessed us all with your presence here on earth; you touched the lives of so many and continue to do so, as we all share your memories. Your legacy lives in the hearts of people accross this entire world, not just in your family. Your mission was bigger, was wider, was deeper, much more profound, because it had to be condensed in such a short time. I pray that Our Blessed Mother Ever Virgin join you in pleading to her Son for consolation and peace to be brought to the aching hearts of your loving family that still yearns for you. While driving with my five year-old "brother," we inadvertently became a part of Juan's procession along I-35 near Round Rock on Wednesday. What a humbling event to be a part of. The respect & honor paid by others in uniform (firefighters, police, veterans) & civilians with hands crossing their hearts & standing tall with our flag, is an experience that taught us a powerful lesson of honor, respect, & sacrifice -- the truest form of love. We will carry this with us. You are being lifted in prayer as we remember Juan's sacrificial life. Thank you for sharing the 85 photos. It helps us feel connected to your family as you experience this loss & celebrate Juan's life. My "brother" is an aspiring Army member, and continues to ask about "Sgt. Navarro." My heart hurts for you. We love you.

My deepest condolences to the Navarro Family! I had a chance to meet him Halloween of 2010 through my sister and brother in law Frank. And well let me just say, we had such a blast. He was such a funny, nice and outgoing person. We had lots of laughs. I'm glad I met him, he brought me up at a time when I was down. Juan, we will never forget you. You were a one of a kind crazy person who loved to make people laugh. Thanks for the laughs and talks we had with each other. May you rest in peace!!

The first time I met Juan P. Navarro was as his Kindergarten teacher at Barrington Elementary. He was intelligent, expressive, cooperative, curious,and caring. He made friends easily and was very respectful to all. I was able to shake his hand on stage when he graduated from Lanier in 2007. I saw him before he left for the service. I am so proud of all that he accomplished and taught us through his life. I will always remember that beautiful smile.

God took another young angel home this week. Cpl Juan Navarro was a very funny, well liked young man from the 07 class of Lanier High school in ATX. If you didn't know him well, you knew of him because of all the funny stories and antics. He alway had a smile of his face and laughter in his heart, he was a friend to all that he knew. His last f/b post showed that he had made amens with his maker. God bless you Juan, you will forever live on in our hearts.
