Justin Doucet Obituary

Justin John Doucet Justin John Doucet, beloved Son, Brother and Friend, passed away on January 21, 2010. Justin was born on December 12, 1976, in Concord, California. He resided in Moraga, California, before moving to Lakeway in 1991. He was a 1995 graduate of Lake Travis High School. He attended the University of Texas; moved to California for a time, and returned to Austin where he lived the rest of his life. Justin was preceded in death by his mother, Anne Joyce Doucet, and his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Pat Doucet: his sisters, Anne Marie Scutero, Michele Higgins, Megan Doucet, Stephanie Larcade, Susan Miller, Carol Maxwell; and his brother Sean Doucet, and their spouses and children. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him, and those whom he loved in return. Justin was especially fond of, and gave of himself and his devotion to his nieces and nephews. He was a gentle, compassionate soul whose memory will live in our hearts forever. He loved his dear friends, Mitch Costanza and the family of Nathan Campos, who treated him like a brother. We are comforted by the love of friends and the certain knowledge that he is resting in peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. A Funeral Mass was recited for him on Monday, at the Emmaus Catholic Church, with Reverend Samuel Hose officiating. Graveside rites will be held in Lafayette, California on February 26, 2010. I had the pleasure of going to School with Justin and had him re-enter my life when we were much older. He will truly be missed, i dont know if i've ever met someone so genuine and true to their beliefs. I hope he is at peace and my condolences go out to his friends and family.

I feel blessed to have known you Justin. Both of us struggled for so long and fought for the peace we so desperately needed but could not find. You are so deeply missed and my heart will forever miss you. I know you have found the peace you could not find while living. We will always love you. My deepest condolences to the Doucet family. Justin was wonderful, remarkable and a bright sun in a rainy sky. I pray the sun always shines on him now in heaven. Be at peace, Justin.
