Hymie and family:
Louise was such a fine person. She was truly a 'mensch'.
Warmest wishes.

Hymie,
We did not know Louise well, only for a couple of years, during our visits to the Beth Israel Circle of Friends Respite with our little dogs. She seemed like a sweet, gentle person, whose eyes typically brightened, smile erupted and hand reached out, when she saw my pups (though not as dramatically as when she saw a small child). However, thanks to your writings and tributes, we got to know Louise (& you) over a much greater portion of her life. Your lives appear to have been filled with strong, true love and devotion.
We will miss Louise during our Thursday visits, and know you will miss her so much more. Fortunately, she will continue to live in our hearts and minds, through our cherished memories. Thanks to you, many of those memories have been wonderfully preserved.

I was so sad to hear about Louise. She was such a dear person with the sweetest smile. I have such special memories of the time I spent at your home during my teenage years. I know that your memories will become treasures in the days ahead. Please know that my heart and thoughts are with all of you.

I think often of our "second home" next door on Spring Lane and Louise's gentleness and goodness as she welcomed all of us kids into your home. As my own children were growing up and things got broken or scratched, I always thought of Louise and her brand new table -- with my writing etched in it. I only hope I was as kind with my girls as she was with me! My thoughts are with you all.

Hymie, Becky, Debbie, & Ricky--
I think Louise touched the lives of all of us who grew up in Austin. I will always remember her grace, sweet smile, gentle guidance, and generous spirit. Please know that you're in my heart and prayers.
I send my love...

What a wonderful lady she was! I can close my eyes now and see, and hear Louise, and my Mom, Polly, at out kitchen table talking about everything under the sun and drinking their coffee. Louise and Polly were such good friends. They could finish each others sentences!! I'm sure Polly and Aaron are already filling Louise in on all the rules "up there." They will be having their coffee soon!!
I send my love and prayers to you all.

She was every thing a "2nd mother" should be; and my life was enhanced by her mothering. Her joy at spending time with any of us raised in Austin was genuine and only increased my love for her. I shall think of her often and remember her always. Hymie, Becky and Debbie, please forgive my absence at her funeral; but, I shall be thinking of all of you this afternoon. Robert joins me in sending our prayers and love.
