Louise THOMAS Obituary
Louise P. Thomas of Austin passed last Sunday afternoon, October 30, 2016. A dedicated KAZI 88.7 FM radio personality lovingly known to us as "Mama T." We recognized her true passion for playing gospel music over the radio air waves on each Sunday morning, finally concluding with her "million name prayer list." She has always treasured her children, Avis Gail and Oscar Jr., Regina Valentina (Tina) and Charles; grandchildren, Ariana and Chaz and don't forget her best friend the family dog Ti. We will honor her last wishes with public viewing 2:00-6:00 pm, and wake 6:00-7:00 pm this Friday, November 11th. Funeral Service is at 10:00 am Saturday, November 12th. All services will be held at First Baptist Church, 4805 Heflin Lane. Service entrusted to the caring staff of Phillips-Upshaw & Richard Funeral Home.

Mama T. We will definitely miss your sweet spirit and smiling face around KAZI 88.7 FM. I would always get excited when you would call me to say you was coming to the station to see me. You would make to laugh & tell me all about your day working in the yard & going around collecting money for our fundraiser. But most of all I got so much joy when you would tell me about shouting up in the station on the songs you played on the air. I know you are now shouting all over God's Heaven. Thanks for all the Love and support you had & gave to the station. You will truly be missed. Rest in Paradise

Deepest condolences to Oscar, Avis and Tina and the rest of the family. Your mother was a wonderful woman and an important part of our family too, especially as a dear friend to my parents Puddin and Winston Harwood. She was a very giving friend, and also helped so many people in her professional life ranging from work at The Austin State School to ministering on KAZI radio station. I know she is in Heaven watching over her loving family.
