Maxwell BERINS Obituary
Maxwell Christopher Berins, 44, died Friday, November 21, 2015, after an unexpected medical crisis. Max was born in Memphis, TN, graduated magna cum laude from St. Edwards University, and was an accomplished musician who loved writing music and performing. He was a devoted fan of the Norwegian band Turbonegro's music and led the Austin fan club Turbojugend, where he made many friends around the world. Fan clubs in many countries toasted his life Friday evening at the same hour.
Max is survived by his mother Laura Grant Turbin of Austin, father David Berins of Atlanta, GA, brothers Philip Berins of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Russ Reeves of Ithaca, NY. Max also leaves his beloved fiance, Hadir Karara.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 28, at 2:00 pm, at the Sufi Center of Austin, 4804 Grover Ave.
