Melvin Stanfield Obituary

Melvin Lynn "Bubba" Stanfield Melvin Lynn "Bubba" Stanfield passed to his heavenly home on April 2, 2010 at the family home in Elgin, Texas. He was 47 years old. Bubba was a contractor and rancher. He was a very loving and caring son, brother, and uncle. He got great pleasure from hunting and fishing with his family, friends, and especially his nephews. Bubba is survived by; his father, Melvin Leo Stanfield of Elgin; his mother, Alta Frances Stanfield of Lockhart; three sisters, Sue Stanfield of Elgin, Ann and husband Randy Tumlinson of Manor, Mary Lou and husband Mike Rollin of Anthem, AZ; two nephews, Andrew Tumlinson and wife Stefanie of Elgin, Matthew Rollin of Anthem, AZ; a niece Katie Tumlinson-Chaney and husband Chad Chaney of Austin; and numerous other relatives and friends. Bubba was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6th. A funeral service celebrating Bubba's life will be conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 7th with the Reverend Mark Nygard officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Arrangements and care are entrusted to the staff of
