It's hard to believe it's been this long. I still think of what a wonderful person and surgeon he was. During my surgery I wanted him to play some music. Mike asked which songs. I said any that make him happy. The morning of the surgery, he forgot the CD in his car and he ran to the car to get it. Literally ran. Mike said he had the perfect songs. Can't remember which CD, except that it was the latest favorites of his daughters. Mike is never forgotten and always missed.

Debbie and family - my heart was saddened to learn today of Mike's passing. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers during these last few years. It doesn't seem possible that eight years have passed since Mike gave our May commencement address here at Midwestern State. He was a great man and he leaves a wonderful legacy. May God bring you and your family comfort during this difficult time. Much love to you and yours - Debbie Baker Barrow

To Mike's family and friends: I went to Midwestern State University and medical school with Mike. I knew him during the time of study. He was a virtual genius at that time. I had no doubt that he would become an outstanding surgeon. His laugh was infectious, his wink unique. He loved his fellow man. He gave 110% to his every endeavor. I have a special gift from God. I have my own set of angels and have for sixteen years. They told me something had happened to Mike about a month ago. You see, I have leukemia and had a near death experience in 1995. I saw his godfather yesterday at Presbyterian Manor in Wichita Falls. I was eating a hamburger and he gave his name at the counter for billing purposes; they do not accept money. I asked Mr. Fenoglio if something had happened to Mike recently. That is how I learned of his passing. I had known about his illness for several years. His loss is a loss to mankind. Our loss is God's gain. I will be establishing a memorial scholarship at Midwestern in honor of my friend and a great man. You will be in my prayers during this time. Mike is already helping God with other problems. It seems an awful waste to those of us who knew him but it is really a great gain for eternity. Raymond L. Owen, M.D. Wichita Falls, Texas

Dr. Fenoglio was my surgeon for a modified mastectomy in 1991; he saved my life with his expertise. At that time all the lymph nodes were removed but Dr. Fenoglio made certain not to cut the brachial nerve. As a result, I have never had any lymphatic trouble. He was always caring and kind. Since I work at Saint Joseph Hospital he always greeted me with a hello in the hallways. An awesome talent and personality. I am so fortunate to have known him.

I feel so blessed to have known Dr Fenoglio. Maybe I am one of just a few patients who were guided by his expert hand in two surgeries, one in 1996 and the other in 2000. His kindness is something I will always remember and because of his expert hand, I am a healthy man.

Uncle Mike performed breast surgery on my girlfriend. When she told me who her Dr. was going to perform her lumpectomy, I told her she was going to be in the best of hands. We both were so thankful he got all the cancer. I will never forget what a wonderful Dr. and friend he was to the people around him. Love, Kelly Davis.

I will always see Mike laughing and joking. We spent a few afternoons "watching" Grant and Zach practice baseball which really meant sitting in the car talking. Mike always had a story to tell and knew how to how to tell it. He had a great sense of humor and shared that gift with everyone. I am grateful for the laughter and the time shared with Mike and will always remember him.
