Milton Russell Shepperd Milton Russell Shepperd, 80, of Waco, Texas completed his earthly journey on July 11, 2011 in Austin, Texas after a lengthy illness. A celebration of his life will be held with family and friends at a later date at his home in Chalk Bluff. Milton was born in Thornton, Texas to Ollie Buttrill Shepperd and Thad Shepperd on March 27, 1931. He was the owner and operator of Shepperd Cabinet Shop in Chalk Bluff for many years. He enjoyed watching Big Joe Polka; spending time with grandsons, Mason, Evan and Caleb; visits from special friend, Corky; visits from nephew, Mike Shepperd; and most recently talks with new friend, Josh. He dearly loved his friends, his former employees, his racing buddies throughout the years, and hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Nell Sawyer Shepperd; brothers, Earl Shepperd, Bob Shepperd and Elton Shepperd; sisters, Ollie Kate Osburn and Margaret Adams; and son in law, Bo Blancett. He is survived by his wife of the last 20 years, Sylvia Shepperd; son, James Russell Shepperd and wife, Patricia and family; daughter, Dorothy Nell Tate and husband, Danny and family; daughter Rebecca Wiggins and husband, Daniel and family; son, James Hampton and wife, Denise and family; brothers Elmer Shepperd and James Shepperd; and his beloved dogs, Cocoastar, Pee Wee, Black Jack, Little Mac, Ginger, Prissy, Squirt, Buddy and his newest joy, Malachi. The family would like to give special thanks to April, Jackie, Michelle, Brandy and John with Waco Vista Care; to Barbara, John, Kelly, Connie, Mimi, Doreen and Rita at Austin Odyssey/Crisis Care; and to Dr. Sheryl Galt at Hillcrest Hospital.
