Ollie Willie Obituary

Ollie Jean Willie, of Mason, Texas, entered her eternal rest on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in Austin, Texas on September 3, 1933, to Rector O. and Gladys L. Lancaster. She was the ninth of ten children. Married to the love of her life, Rudolph E. Willie, Jr., on September 3, 1952, in Austin. Jean was the proud mother of four sons. In addition to caring for and raising her sons, she worked as a secretary for many years. First, with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, then Southern Union Gas Company. After leaving those positions, she babysat for children in her home, while seeing that her sons were brought up the way she intended. Jean went to work for AISD, where she eventually retired.

Jean and Rudy spent 65 years in their home on O'Dell Street in Austin. They moved to Mason in August of 2022.

Jean is survived by her husband of 72 years, Rudy. Her 4 sons, Eddie and wife, Jennifer, of Mason, Freddie and wife, Sherron, of Red Rock, Randy and wife, Danielle, of Austin, and Rusty and wife, Stephanie, of Austin. Eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 9 siblings as well as 3 grandchildren.

Jean was a loving, caring mother and grandmother who treated her daughters-in-law like her own; always proud to tell you the latest thing one of her "kids" had done. She was a great seamstress, fisherman, chef and confidant. She had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord as a young girl and was tireless in serving Him at Ridgetop Baptist Church until moving to Mason.

Jean will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, but we can rejoice in knowing that now she sits at Jesus' feet, worshipping Him and waiting for us.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 03, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Capital Memorial Park, 14501 N Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas.
