Omar Schultz

Omar Alvin Schultz Omar Alvin Schultz, age 93, passed away on August 21, 2012 in Austin. He was born on February 4, 1919 in Seward County, Nebraska to William C. and Clara (Brandt) Schultz. He served his country in the Air Force during World War II and then worked as a Journeyman Electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Omar was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown and previous to that at Redeemer Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran church in Austin. He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 46 years, Dorothy Schultz, who passed away in 1989; a stillborn infant child; his siblings, Hubert, Leonard, and Victor Schultz and Gertrude Ruhter and Esther Van Soelen; his great-granddaughter, Ivy; and his second wife, Louise. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Nancy Rendell, Diane Schultz, and Terry Schultz; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Berdine Priegnitz. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
