Patsy
Patsy McKinnon Kanuch was born on December 29, 1934 in Comanche, Oklahoma. She passed away in Austin, TX on April 21, 2015, after a long illness.

After the death of her mother, she was raised by her grandmother in Oklahoma. Through the years, the family moved to Austin, TX. She went to Austin High School in Austin, TX. She married James T. Kanuch in 1952. She was always keeping busy throughout the years with her hands . She raised two kids primarily own her own. Through the years Patsy wore many hats, a daughter, a mother, a worker, and a friend to many people who knew her. She was faithful and loved the Lord with all the heart. Her love and compassion in life was to help others at any time day or night. She attended Congress Avenue Baptist Church for many years. She loved to cook, crafts- sewing, crocheting, and making all kinds of projects. She raised many little dogs and cats and took extra good care of them. She was a hard worker and worked at White Instruments for many years and retired after 33 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd B. McKinnon and James (Jimmie) G. McKinnon; brother, James B. McKinnon; brother, Howard Glen McKinnon. She is survived by two children: Floyd Wayne Kanuch , wife, Anne of Katy, TX, and son, Austin A. Kanuch and wife, Amy Kristin and two daughters: Abigail Kanuch and Amelia Kanuch of Spring, TX; and son, Corbin Kanuch of Houston, TX; daughter, Virginia Gail Kanuch of Austin, TX; one sister-in-law, Maurine McKinnon of Shreveport, LA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring staff of Family Eldercare, Monte Siesta Nursing Home, and Hospice Austin for taking care of her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 at Woodlawn Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice in Patsy's memory.
