R. Robinson Obituary

R. Shane Robinson, affectionately known as 'the Shaner,' passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 51 at his Lakeway, Texas home after a quick but valiant fight with cancer. Born on January 23, 1973, in Independence, Missouri, Shane was the beloved son of Bobbie Ellis-Robinson and Ronald Robinson. He leaves his wife Elizabeth Rush Robinson, daughter Siena Rush Robinson, and son Vander Shane Robinson. Services will be held at Lakeway Church on Saturday, July 27, at 10:00 a.m.

Shane graduated from Uvalde High School in 1991 and continued his education at Southwest Texas State University, where he graduated in 1998. His professional journey led him to become the General Manager of Brazos Forest Products in Austin, a position he held for the past 16 years. Shane's energetic positivity and vigor drove growth within the company and inspired his team.

A devoted member of the Lakeway Church, Shane was deeply involved in religious activities. He served as a Sunday school teacher and an AWANA leader, participated in the Walk to Emmaus, and brought the role of Matthew to life in the church's Living Last Supper production. He took an active role in nurturing his children's Christian faith and upbringing.

Shane's commitment to his community was evident in as a soccer coach for the Gryffindors and Dragons. He was a man of many interests, dominating his Fantasy Football league year after year, thrill in mountain biking, and becoming an avid golfer; sharing these interests and time with his friends.

Shane is survived by his grandmother, Doris Jean Ellis; mother, Bobbie J. Robinson; father, Ronald G. Robinson; sister, Shandy J. Robinson-Baker; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Anderson; and father-in-law, David Martin Anderson, brother-in-law G. Clayton Anderson, and sister-in-law Bridgette Poyer-Anderson. He was a loving uncle to Emilee Baker, Brody Baker, Katie Baker, R. Tyler Anderson, and M. Bailey Anderson.

Shane never ended a phone conversation with family without saying, "I love you." Shane, we love you, too, and we will dearly miss your presence on Earth.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Lakeway Church in Shane's memory. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

I met Shaner many years ago when he was our sales rep and Dixieply and took a liking to him right away. He would crack me up with his ramblings and almost always ended with the 'you know what I mean!' He loved his kids and wife and loved taking about them. What I can say is he always had a positive energy about him and I'm glad to have known him. I'm going to miss you buddy! See you on the other side!
Our condolences to his family and friends from the guys at Circle C Millwork.

It's obvious some patients with HERPES are being enslaved to the antiviral and other supplementary Orthodox medicine just to help suppress the virus and not a cure. I have been with the virus since 2019 until I was introduced by a blogger who also narrated Her story online on how she was cured of Herpes after using Dr Eze Herbal Medicine. This is a year and 2 weeks since I was delivered from Herpes. All thanks to God for using this Great herbal mixture to heal me. I have promised to keep telling good things about his work. Please fill free to share Your problems with him. Thanks. Reach him on email [email protected] or WhatsApp (+2347018157305)

I met shane early in our joining the lakeway church. He was a humble servant, always cheerful and selfless. I'm sorry to say had no idea he was in such a fight. While he could not defeat cancer, His God defeated death and while Shane's body here died, I firmly believe as he did while here, that he would keep living. I am happy he's free and alive in joy and spirit elsewhere. We pray God will comfort those that remain here now.

I was fortunate enough to meet Shane through mutual friends in the mid-90's. I was even more fortunate to be reunited with Shane 30 years later when I joined the fantasy football league that he dominated.
Every year at the draft (and pre-draft golf tourney), Shane made me feel the way he makes everyone feel: like I was the only person he came to see. He peppered me with questions about me, my wife, and my daughter, always interested in what we've been doing.
When conversation eventually turned back to Shane, he only wanted to talk about his family. He was so proud of his wife and children, and all of their accomplishments, that it felt like I'd never missed a moment of time with him.
Shane was, as a good friend stated, "One of One." He will not, and can not, be duplicated. I wish I had more time with the Shaner, but I will always be grateful for those annual drafts that reconnected me with one of the greatest.
My heart aches for his wife and children. I know how much Shane's passing has hurt me, and I can only imagine how great my loss would be if I'd only had more time in his loving presence.
We've lost a brother, a son, a father, a husband, a close friend, and a legend. But God has gained an Angel with stories that will keep Heaven in stitches for eternity.
Love you, brother. Can't wait to catch the back 9 and lose my ass to you in the semifinals again. You will be sorely missed.
Love you, Man.
