Rebecca Abeyta Obituary

Rebecca Marie Abeyta died on October 31, 2024. She passed in her sleep peacefully and unexpectedly.

She was born January 27, 1964 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Robert Anthony Abeyta and Charlice Ann Abeyta.

Rebecca left Alaska and moved to Texas at age 3, where she lived most of her life. She worked for 30 years on the motor mile for different dealerships working as a service manager and public relations.

Rebecca had a vibrant personality, a warm heart, and a genuine consideration for everyone she met. She made an impact on her customers and her coworkers and the out pouring of love since her passing has been heartfelt.

She is survived by her mother Charlice Ann Abeyta, sister Roberta Ann Wehbe (Najib Wehbe), her brother Robert Anthony Abeyta, and nieces and nephews Michael (Mateo), Charlice, Tareza, Layla, Isabel, and Nicholas, her dear husband, Anestacio Contreras II and their children, Amanda Monie Contreras, Andrew Contreras and grandchildren Ava Lorraine Contreras, Ryan Andrew Contreras, Aaron Andrew Contreras, and Noah Andrew Anestacio Contreras, her aunt Patricia Gilstrap and uncle Robert Gilstrap.

The service will be held at Our Lady's Maronite Church, in Austin on November 16, Rosary at 10:30 and funeral service at 11.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church or the Humane Society, in honor of Rebecca's love of animals.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Becky's passing. Growing up, our families shared so many wonderful memories together—whether it was vacations or just spending time at each other's homes. Becky's vibrant personality and warm heart made every gathering special. Though life took us in different directions and I hadn't seen her in many years, I was grateful to keep up with her through social media. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
My thoughts and prayers are with her Ann, Roberta and the whole family during this difficult time. May she rest in eternal peace.
