Rolland H. Olufson

Rolland (Buster) H. Olufson, born December 12, 1928, passed away in his home in Austin, Texas on June 17, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Dot) Olufson on July 29, 2021, sons, Gary (Ringo) and Joey Jay, his parents Marguerite and Hjalmer Olufson and grandson Andrew Stokes. Buster and Dot were high school sweethearts, who grew up in Eau Claire Wisconsin, moved to the Twin Cities after their marriage and relocated to Austin, TX in the mid-80's. Buster was a WWII veteran. His optimism, whooping laugh and sly smile made many friends during his lifetime, and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by Carrie Bazella (Douglas Valland, deceased), Randy Olufson (Oneal, deceased), Andrea Olufson (Gary deceased), Todd Olufson (Kathleen), Christy Olufson, Thor Olufson (Kerrin), grandchildren, Jacob Bazella (Star), Bonnie Anderson (Steven), Erick Olufson, Michael Welsh, Jeffrey Welsh, Daniel Olufson (Katie), Joseph Olufson, and eleven great grandchildren. A memorial and celebration of Buster's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on October 8, 2023, at the St. Louis Park Rec Center, Banquet room, 3700 Monterey Drive, St Louis Park, MN 55416. He will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
