Samuel Dewey Smith Samuel Dewey Smith, age 88, long time resident of Austin died Friday April 20, 2012. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara C. Smith, brothers, Will, Jackie, Junior, Eldon and two sisters, Mildred Landers and Bertie O'Dell. He is survived by son Sammy W. Smith and wife, Barbara of Austin; daughter Shannon Johnson and husband, Ron, of Houston; grandchildren, Troy and Brandy Smith, Chad Smith, Justine and Alexa Johnson; great-grand children, Ty, Taylor, Lainey and Logan Smith; sisters, Christine Tittle, Ella Hershon, Louise Dye and brother Raymond Smith. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Sunday April 22nd at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin. Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 23rd at Cook-Walden Capital Parks.
