Thomas David Obituary

Thomas Wayne David Thomas Wayne David, 57, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010. He was born on April 1, 1953, in Taylor, Texas, to the late Emil and Dorothy Gorubec David. Tom graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1971. He proudly served his country as Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for six years. He joined IBM in 1980 and worked there for the past 30 years in procurement engineering as an Operations Manager. He thoroughly enjoyed coaching and his involvement in soccer. His generosity and spirit was felt by all of the lives he touched. He is survived by his wife, Kara David of Round Rock; daughter, Krystal Petty and husband Jason of Leander; son, Matthew David of Round Rock; grandson, Fox Petty; sisters, Madeline Harlan of California, Patti Ginascol of California, and Kristi Conine and husband Wayne of Granite Shoals; brother, Dennis David of Granite Shoals; mother-in-law, Naomi Chadwick of Liberty Hill; father- in-law, Alfred Wood and wife Nina of Marble Falls; sisters-in- law, Jeanene Jones and husband Mike of Round Rock; Debbie Phillips and husband James of Granite Shoals; brothers-in-law Kenny Mayfield and wife Margaret; and Ronald Mayfield and wife Paula; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers are David Elliott, Mike Jones, Jaret Preece, Joe Neary, Dan Baker, Ken Duhon. Tom will be deeply missed by all; he was a loving and exceptional husband, father, grandfather and uncle. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Beck Funeral Home, 1700 E FM 1431, Cedar Park, Texas. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Marble Falls, Texas with Father Lopez officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the City of Marble Falls Cemetery.
