Wanda Page-Garner Obituary

Wanda McCullough Page-Garner was born in Austin, Texas on December 13, 1942 and died May 25, 2025. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High and then went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Harold Page. Jr. in November 1961. Wanda's husband of 54 years, Harold's parents. S. L. (Mac) and Mary McCullough and brother, Donald R. McCullough preceded her in death.

Growing up, Wanda loved to dance and sing, but her life long passion was always animals. She cherished her English bulldogs, her horses and her cats. When she was not working she volunteered at the local hospital and for R.O.C.K. She was Chairman of the Architectural Control Committee in Durham Park Subdivision, and a member of the Liberty Hill Garden Club in Liberty Hill, where they built their dream home on 10+ acres in the Hill Country in 1995. Wanda loved to travel and treasured her trip to England and the many trips, cruises and dude ranches that she and Harold went on and to. She also loved attending the many sports activities and performances of her grandchildren as they grew up.

Wanda worked in several administrative positions over a 40 year period, but she was always proudest of working over 20 years as a Legal Administrative Assistant at some of Austin's largest and most prestigious law firms.

On December 6, 2018, she married her best friend, Edgar F. Garner, of Austin, Texas/Wyoming. Edgar, her son, Larry and his wife Terry, grandchildren Christopher and his wife, Kristy and great-grandson, West, and granddaughter Emily survive her along with brother-in-law Curtis Page and wife Shelley, sisters-in-law Lolla Page, Patricia Page Romer and their families, Edgar's son, Gregory and Partner Reyna, Edgar's daughter, Julie Ann and her husband Mark Procunier and Edgar's five granddaughters and many wonderful friends.

Part of Wanda's ashes will be spread with Harold's at their ranch in Liberty Hill, in a private family service. The remaining ashes will be buried with Edgar at his death. No other service is planned at this time. If you wish, donations may be made in her name to the Austin Travis County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
