I just today found out that David took his gig to heaven. David lived his life the way he wanted to. He had so many great friends and a huge fan club. We graduated from high school together. He was so smart and so funny. He took all of that and was very successful on the radio. I join all the class of "69" sharing this loving memory of David making us all laugh and remembering just what a great person he was. I haven't seen him for a long time. I am so proud of his accomplishments in radio. And I share with all his friends that he will be missed. So many great memories of David. I'm sure he is in heaven. He is not in pain. He is in a beautiful place. He made it being true to who he was. He never gave up. And he is definitely making people laugh. Thank you David for showing up.

Like so many, I was a fan. David made listening fun because he was having fun while doing it. He was one that for any budding radio personality or dj,
is a perfect example.
I was also fortunate enough to do time in Austin radio. Many of the personalities weren't anything like their on air persana but Dave was exactly the person you heard. He was a charismatic man's man, a lady's man and as genuine as they come. It was an honor to have known him if only for a little bit. In the end, if anyone says your name and it brings a smile, then you've made a difference like Dave.
