I knew Pete at EWU where we were both in a service club known as the Intercollegiate Knights. Even as a young man, Pete was clearly an outstanding person. Now in reading his obituary I realize how outstanding a life he led, and our shared interests of Scouting, Old Cars mechanical things, and Nordic Heritage. I have been to Kenai, spent several days fishing out of Ninilchik, and never knew that Pete was nearby. I am sorry I missed him there, but will see him in Heaven.

I am saddened to read of Pete's death. I knew him at EWU where we were both in the Intercollegiate Knights. He was a year younger but it was obvious even then that he had loads of potential, which I now realize he lived up to. Hi sister Teri (Helen) lived for a time near my parents on North Main St., Colville. My sincerest condolences to his family. Stan Johnson, Springfield, Virginia.
