Arthur Rosenblad Obituary

Arthur Richard Rosenblad

July 20, 1930 - December 20, 2012

SCOTTS MILLS - Arthur was born to Gustaf and Effie (Hoevet) Rosenblad in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Arthur moved to Scotts Mills in 1959 and was a member of Scotts Mills Grange for 46 years. He was with the Scotts Mills Fire Department for 25 years and was a former treasurer of the Scotts Mills Fire Department. He also was on the Scotts Mills School Board for 25 years and on Scotts Mills City Council for 4 years. Arthur was a diesel mechanic for 30 years with the State of Oregon.

Arthur married Carol Gehrman in June of 1965.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of Scotts Mills: sons, Jeff of Mt. Angel, Jerry of Salem, Ted of Turner; daughter, Juanita Hryciw of Aloha; sister Mildred Haffey of Portland; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Christner and Mary Pruden.

There will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Scotts Mills Grange with a meal to follow. Arrangements are by Unger Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Scotts Mills Grange, PO Box 33, Scotts Mills, OR 97375, or to Willamette Valley Hospice, 1015 Third Street, NW, Salem, OR 97304.
