Cecilia Ann "Sheila" Stuckart

SUBLIMITY - Cecilia ‘Sheila’ Ann Stuckart passed peacefully on October 27, 2007. She was born on November 22, 1921 in St. Paul, the ninth of 13 children of Sylvester and Christine Smith. She lived in Sublimity after her marriage in 1945 to Robert Stuckart, who preceded her in death.Family and friends enjoyed her home cooking and baking, especially her breads and biscotti. She loved dancing, playing cards, and going to the casino. Sheila was a talented seamstress and had a magic touch with houseplants. She often described herself as a “simple country girl.”She is survived by four siblings, Sister Mary Blanche, OSB, Mt. Angel, Clara Faber of Woodburn, Rose Berning of Mt. Angel, and Paul Smith of Forrest Grove; children, Ann Marie Kremer of Los Molinos, Calif., Michael Stuckart of Sublimity, Susan Cook of Corvallis, Kathleen Smith of Renton, Wash., Rosemary Stuckart of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Roberta Elder of Spokane, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.A Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 1 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sublimity. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Shaw.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity - Stayton, PO Box 405, Sublimity OR 97385.
